PASTOR DIES FROM FENTANYL AND COCAINE OVERDOSE, ARREST MADE OF SUSPECT THAT ALLEGEDLY SOLD DRUGS

Pastor Adam Nygren, 35, died from fentanyl, cocaine, and clonazepam overdose in Lincoln County, NC. Pastor Nygren was an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church. On August 11, 2023 Kire McNeil, 27, was arrested accused of selling the deadly drugs to the pastor.

Pastor Nygren died on September 9, 2022 at his home on Burning Ridge Drive. A friend of Pastor Nygren told officers he came to the residence and found the pastor deceased.

Another Pastor identified as Diane Hester Lewis was found dead in west Charlotte woods

Lincoln County Sheriff’s detectives began an investigation. An autopsy confirmed the death was caused by a drug overdose.Evidence was collected at the pastor’s home. The autopsy listed fentanyl, cocaine, and clonazepam as the cause of death. Clonazepam is a medicine that controls seizures.

The investigation took months, and on August 11, 2023 Kire was arrested accused of selling the drugs to Pastor Nygren. Kire is charged with felony death by distribution of a controlled substances. He has a $125,000 secured bond. Click here to see the many deaths that fentanyl has caused.
