OFFICERS SEIZE COCAINE WORTH OVER $715,000

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized cocaine that totaled over $715,000 in street value.

The drug bust occurred on July 19, 2021 at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas after officers encountered a large truck manifesting reconditioned totes arriving from Mexico. 

The Freightliner truck was referred for a canine and non-intrusive imaging system inspection, resulting in the discovery of several packages containing 93 pounds of cocaine within the trailer.

The narcotics had an street value of $715,700.

U.S. Customs seized the narcotics and the trailer in connection with the smuggling attempt. The case was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations special agents for further investigation.
