LARGE NUMBER OF MARIJUANA BUNDLES SEIZED

U.S. Border Patrol agents seized a large number of abandoned narcotics south of Zapata, Texas.

The incident happened during the mid-afternoon of November 23, 2020 when agents acted on information of a possible narcotics smuggling attempt at a ranch south of the town.

Responding agents discovered 84 bundles of marijuana abandoned in the brush. The bundles had an approximate weight of 959.56 pounds with an estimated street value of $767,648. The narcotics were subsequently turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
