HEAD COCAINE DEALER HAD $2 MILLION CASH IN BASEMENT, MULTIPLE BRICKS OF COCAINE

A Charlotte man had over $2.9 million in cash along with alot of cocaine in storage units

Charlotte, NC is a hub for drugs. But Juan Benton, 46, took it to a whole new level as he had millions of dollars in cash, cocaine, along with storage units with cash and drugs in Charlotte, along with a nice expensive house in Waxhaw, NC.

On May 3, 2021 Juan was sentenced to 108 months in prison to be followed by a term of supervised release for possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Juan was the leader of a drug trafficking ring operating in Charlotte, NC from at least 2013 thru 2018. Over the course of the drug conspiracy, Juan regularly purchased multiple kilograms of cocaine, which he distributed in bulk quantities to other drug traffickers in the greater Charlotte area.

Police informants informed authorities about Juan. So, on March 13, 2018 law enforcement executed a search warrant at Juan’s luxurious residence in Waxhaw, N.C.

Cops seized approximately $2 million in cash from Juan’s basement. Elsewhere in the residence, law enforcement recovered two guns and more cocaine. Juan was not home during the search warrant.

On the same date law enforcement conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle Juan was driving. During that traffic stop Juan had $76,900 in cash on him.

Also on that date a second search warrant was executed at a storage unit rented by Juan at a facility in Charlotte, NC in which cops found more than 4 kilograms of cocaine, over eight pounds of marijuana, and more than $315,000 in cash.

There have been countless drug and cocaine bust in and around Charlotte.

Ivonne Hernandez, 30, was arrested for allegedly selling large quantities of crack cocaine in Charlotte, NC and South Carolina.

Several members of a multi-million dollar Mexican drug cartel had stash houses in Charlotte.

$4 million is how much methamphetamine this ring was responsible for selling and distributing in a drug network that stretched from North Carolina to Los Angeles.

In Charlotte, NC on February 26, 2021 Aleef Nicks, 39, was sentenced to 108 months in prison on drug trafficking and firearm charges. Aleef is the brother of former NFL star wide receiver Hakeem Nicks. 

  A local basketball coach was killed on April 8, 2021 during a shootout with the Sinaloa Drug Cartel near Charlotte. The basketball coach was at a cocaine stash house.

Cash was seized during the undercover investigations totaling $140,499 in real money, but the alleged crime group allegedly made at least $4 million in cocaine and heroin proceeds.
