BLOODS GANG MEMBER SENTENCED TO 13 YEARS FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

On October 26, 2021 Robert McClinton, 32, was sentenced to 135 months in prison and eight years of supervised release on drug trafficking charges in Charlotte, NC. Robert is a bloods gang member.

Robert was previously sentenced to 43 months in federal prison, after pleading guilty to racketeering conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

According to court documents, on September 5, 2019, while Robert was on supervised release, a police officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle Robert was driving. Robert at first complied and stopped at a gas station, however, when the officer approached Robert’s vehicle, Robert sped off at a high speed and came close to striking the officer.

Law enforcement proceeded to follow Robert while he attempted to evade the police. Officers arrested Robert after his vehicle collided into a tree.

Over the course of the investigation law enforcement seized narcotics from Robert and his vehicle. On May 11, 2021, a federal jury convicted Robert of two counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine. 

Robert is currently in federal custody and will be transferred to the custody of the federal Bureau of Prisons, upon designation of a federal facility. 

Jordan Williams is also a bloods gang member and was sentenced to 12 years in prison on carjacking and firearms offenses.
