$4 MILLION IN COCAINE FOUND IN VEHICLE

U.S. Customs and Border Protection intercepted $4,109,000 worth of cocaine at the Hidalgo International Bridge in Hidalgo, Texas on March 3, 2023.

A black Infiniti SUV was coming from Mexico into the United States. The SUV stopped at a border check point. A customs officer referred the vehicle for further inspection.

Agents physically inspected the vehicle, which included utilizing non-intrusive inspection equipment and screening by a canine team. Officers extracted a total of 115 packages of cocaine weighing 306 pounds concealed within the vehicle.

Officers seized the narcotics and the vehicle. Homeland Security Investigations initiated criminal investigations in the seizure.
