$300,000 WORTH OF MARIJUANA FOUND ON INTERSTATE 77

Victor Morrison, 24, was arrested on February 2, 2022 accused of felony trafficking marijuana in Iredell County, NC on Interstate 77. Victor was traveling to or from Los Angeles, California. $299,680 in marijuana was found during the drug bust.

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a SUV on Interstate 77 for an alleged traffic violation. A police canine was called to the scene to assist with the traffic stop which led to a positive alert to the odor and presence of illegal narcotics.

A vehicle search was conducted by deputies and cops say over 66 pounds of high grade marijuana was found hidden in vacuumed sealed bags within a large duffel bag.

The alleged drugs were in the rear of the vehicle. The marijuana has an street value of $299,680.

Victor was arrested and charged with felony trafficking marijuana by transport, felony trafficking marijuana by possession, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintain a vehicle for the sale or use of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
