$280,000 WORTH OF MARIJUANA SEIZED ON INTERSTATE 77 DURING TRAFFIC STOP

On March 7, 2021 over 31 pounds of marijuana was seized on I-77 in Iredell County, NC. The drugs are worth $280,000 and were found during a routine traffic stop. Unrai Keoseng, 39, and Janeal Terrell, 43, were in the vehicle with the high dollar marijuana and were both arrested.

The traffic stop was conducted for a traffic violation. The suspects told deputies they were driving from Virginia to Georgia. Unrai allegedly admitted to having guns with no permits; a search of the vehicle was then conducted.

It was then that a large amount of marijuana with a street value of $280,000 was discovered. The high-grade marijuana was in 30 vacuum-sealed packages. The drugs were found concealed in garbage bags in the trunk of the vehicle. The two suspects face multiple charges including felony trafficking. Both were each issued a $150,000 bond.
