Renee Ferrari, 25, was arrested on December 18, 2024. It is alleged that 10 kilograms of marijuana and 2 kilograms of cocaine were found in her luggage at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The airport is located on Josh Birmingham Pwky. Charlotte, NC.
Renee was on a flight from Los Angeles, CA to Charlotte on December 18, 2024. Law enforcement and federal officials were growing suspicious of flights from California and decided to conduct an interdiction at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

A female was arrested at the Charlotte Airport accused of having 2 kilograms of cocaine
Renee’s bags were among the luggage selected. During the open air sniff, a police dog stopped abruptly at Renee’s suitcase and barked, alerting to the odor of narcotics.
The suitcase bag tag indicated the suitcase was from Los Angeles, California which is a known drug source location.

The suspected suitcase was allowed to travel to baggage claim and was picked up by Renee. Cops then confronted Renee and told her about the dog alerting to narcotics for her luggage.

Renee was unresponsive to any and all questions by police. A search warrant was applied for and granted by a magistrate. Detectives then searched the luggage and found 2 and a half bricks of cocaine that weighed 5 pounds.
There were also 10 vacuum sealed bricks of marijuana with a total approximate weight of 23.2 pounds. Renee was then arrested charged with trafficking cocaine and trafficking marijuana.
