Rat feces is not a good pizza topping. In September 2019 a Little Caesars in California failed a health inspection and was shut down due to gross findings.
During the inspection rodent defecation was found inside the pizza oven, which was in use at the time with pizza cooking.
The oven was impounded until it could be cleaned, also impounded were bins where clean utensils are kept.
The food-storage area was also ordered to be cleaned. In addition to getting rid of the rodents, the restaurant was directed to make several structural upgrades and repairs. In the inspection rodent feces were also found in non-food-preparation areas.
Rodent defecation was also found between bags of flour and boxes. The oven was also incredibly dirty with an accumulation of grease and food debris.
