On July 13, 2021 90 illegal immigrants were found in a large 18-wheeler truck at the U.S. Highway 83 checkpoint near Laredo, Texas.
The tractor-trailer approached the checkpoint and a service canine alerted agents to the precensce of humans in the rear cargo area. The truck was then referred to a secondary inspection.
Agents opened the truck back door and discovered 90 individuals inside the trailer; all were in the U.S. illegally and from the countries of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.
The suspects were put through arrest processing.
