ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT DIES AFTER FALLING FROM BORDER WALL

On July 25, 2021, at 6:30 p.m, a man died from a head injury after falling from a United States border wall in California. A Border Patrol camera operator observed several individuals crossing the international border fence, approximately one and a half miles west of the Otay Mesa Port of Entry. 

Two Border Patrol Agents approached the area in marked Border Patrol vehicles 

Border Patrol officers observed an individual near the base of the secondary fence. It was then that officers heard something hit the ground on the other side of the secondary wall immediately north of the location. 

Officers then saw an unresponsive man lying on the ground near the border fence, officers immediately requested emergency medical assistance for the man who was an illegal immigrant. 

The male victim was a Mexican citizen and had suffered a severe head injury from an apparent fall from the border fence. 

San Diego Fire Department emergency medical personnel arrived at the location approximately ten minutes later and ultimately declared the man deceased on the scene.
