New findings say MDMA, cocaine, fentanyl, and meth are the drugs that killed Brandon Johnson, 40, in Charlotte, NC near a strip club on Griffith Rd. Brandon died on July 9, 2024 decomposed.
Brandon worked as a painter and he was found dead in his work van by a friend at 1 a.m. in the parking lot of the Wyndham Garden hotel near a popular strip club.
Postmortem toxicological analysis reveals that Brandon had 300 ng of fentanyl and 0.21 mg of cocaine in his system.
Methylenedioxyamphetamine [MDMA] and methamphetamine were identified in Brandon’s blood stream too.
Brandon’s heart was diffusely soft with gas accumulation within the tissue consistent with decomposition.
The victim also had diffused softening of his lungs with gas accumulation consistent with decomposition.
Brandon’s digestive tract was diffusely bloated with wall thinning consistent with decomposition. His meninges brain tissue was intact and discolored with loss of normal vascular architecture.
Fentanyl is a powerful respiratory suppressant and causes cessation of breathing. Cocaine is a cardio-toxic stimulant. Stimulants can cause cardiac arrhythmias, which are a kind of heart attack.
MDMA and methamphetamine are stimulants that are present below lethal concentrations but may have a synergistic effect. Brandon died as a result of fentanyl and cocaine toxicity.
