DRUG DEALER SOLD COCAINE FROM HOTEL ROOM, GETS 15 YEARS IN PRISON

Date:

On September 29, 2021 Malik Davis, 41, was sentenced to 15 years in prison and three years of supervised release for cocaine and gun charges in Charlotte, NC. Malik sold cocaine from a hotel room.

In June 2019 officers learned that Malik was dealing cocaine from a motel room in Charlotte, NC. Many Charlotte area motels in high crime areas give police a report of all motel check-ins every week.

Law enforcement eventually executed a search warrant at the motel room and Malik’s vehicle. Officers recovered cocaine, various evidence from the manufacturing of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, more than $2,800 in cash, and a loaded firearm.

A semi-automatic pistol loaded with a high capacity magazine was found in Malik’s vehicle, along with over $1,600 in cash. Malik pleaded guilty in November 2020 to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm by a felon.
