Kaylen Johnson, 24, and her son Kaden Johnson, 2, were murdered on March 6, 2022 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Kaylen’s boyfriend identified as Brynnen Murphy, 20, is charged with the double murder of the mother and son. Kaylen was also pregnant at the time of her murder.
Kaylen and Kaden were last seen alive on March 5, 2022. Brynnen was in a relationship with Kaylen and she was pregnant by him.
Brynnen was a property maintenance worker at Kaylen’s apartment complex. Brynnen was babysitting Kaden on the day that the victims went missing.
Brynnen is accused of shooting Kaylen multiple times and then dumping her body in the woods. Brynnen is then accused of throwing little Kaden off of a bridge, killing him.
Kaylen’s car was found by cops abandoned without a license plate on it.
The family of Kaylen asked for the Baton Rouge Police Department to do a wellness check on March 11, 2022. But cops saw no signs of foul play at Kaylen’s apartment.
The dead bodies of Kaylen and Kaden were eventually found on March 14, 2022 in a wooded area; Brynnen was arrested on the same day and charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of first degree feticide.
