Rafael Brown, 44, was arrested on May 5, 2022 accused of murdering his mother and his own 18-year-old daughter. Rafael’s daughter identified as Shaneal Brown, 18, and Rafael’s mother 83-year-old Jessie Brown were both stabbed to death in Columbia, SC.
On May 5, 2022 Richland County deputies responded to a 911 domestic disturbance call. Deputies arrived to a house and found Shaneal and Jessie stabbed to death covered in blood.
Rafael was detained and arrested at the crime scene. Rafael is charged with 2 counts of murder.
Shaneal was a member of her high school’s marching band dance team and a member of a girls mentoring group. Jessie worked at a daycare and was a matriarch at her church.
There is no motive for the murders.
