On July 16, 2022 Logan Lopez, 24, was arrested, accused of murdering his mother Mary Beth Lopez, 53, in Clearwater, Fl. Logan is accused of beating his mother to death with a hammer.
Logan told his mother to come to his apartment to drop off some of his mail. Mary arrived to Logan’s apartment with the mail on July 16th at 5 p.m.
Logan is accused of beating his mother Mary with a hammer and stabbing her multiple times. A neighbor heard banging and screams, the neighbor then called 911.
Police arrived and found Mary dead. Cops say that Logan admitted to planning his mother’s murder for a year. Logan was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
