19-year-old Yusuff Haamid-Sumpter was shot and killed on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 7:43 a.m. in Monroe, NC.
Police were dispatched to a call for service at Dickerson Park on North Johnson Street. Once officers arrived on scene, they located Yusuff with an apparent gunshot wound.
No arrests have been made. Yusuff worked at a Bojangles restaurant, the homicide did not occur at Bojangles.
