Jellisa Baxter, 24, is accused of murdering her 3-year-old daughter Arya Smith on December 27, 2022 in Miami, Florida. Jellisa had over 5,000 followers on Instagram under the page jellisa_curvyfit. She says she’s a mom and a holistic health coach. Well, now she is in jail.
Jellisa received an eviction notice on Dec. 15, 2022. Jellisa’s family lives in New York.
Jellisa is accused of trying to strangle baby Arya inside her apartment on December 27th. When that did not work, Jellisa is accused of grabbing a knife and stabbing Arya in her neck, face, and chest to the point of death at 2:11 a.m.
Jellisa then called police and allegedly admitted to killing her baby daughter. Police showed up and found Jellisa in a white rob with blood on it walking around and talking incomprehensibly.
Arya was laying on the floor with deep stab wounds to her face, neck, and chest. Arya was pronounced deceased on scene.
Jellisa was then arrested and charged with child abuse and first degree murder. She was denied bond.
