Court documents show that murder charges were dropped in the case of a grandmother being shot and killed in Charlotte, NC. The victim grandmother is 64-year-old Harriet Cromartie. Nazah James and Omontie Rowe were arrested and originally charged with Harriet’s murder.

Harriet was killed on January 25, 2019 on Wynbrook Way Drive Charlotte, NC.
Late at night a fight began with Nazah and another woman. Shots were fired and Harriet was shot in her car while she was riding with her granddaughter. The relative was shot too.
It is not clear if Harriet and her granddaughter were the intended targets. Harriet died from the shooting. The other victim was rushed to the hospital and survived.
Nazah and Omontie were arrested charged with murder and other charges.
But years later and before a trial even started the murder charge against Nazah was dismissed without leave by the district attorney. There was no plea agreement.

Omantae ended up pleading guilty to a lesser offense and was sentenced to 207 months in jail, but he got credit for time served because he was already in jail for 1,055 days at the time he pled guilty.
