VIDEO: CITY TRUCK SLAMS INTO GAME STOP VIDEO STORE

Date:

On November 11, 2023 seven people were injured when a large city owned pick-up truck slammed into a Game Stop store in Margate, FL.

The Margate Parks and Recreation truck got into a minor crash with a Ford Mustang in the parking lot of the shopping center.

As officers were pulling into the parking lot to assist with the wreck at 6 p.m., the driver of the truck accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes, launching the truck into a speeding frenzy directly into the Game Stop store.

One person was pinned under the truck following the crash.

Four people were transported to North Broward’s Trauma Center, including one in critical condition. Three other victims were taken to the hospital also. There is no word on if the truck driver was injured.

The City of Margate released this statement: “The incident is currently under investigation by the Margate Police Department, and we are cooperating fully to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the events leading up to this regrettable incident. Our primary focus remains on the well-being of the injured individuals. The City of Margate takes matters of public safety seriously, and we are working closely with law enforcement to gather all necessary information to determine the cause of the accident.”

The truck was towed away as evidence. At this point no arrest are expected.
