24-year-old Carson Philbin was killed in Hawaii on January 13, 2024. Carson is from Charlotte, NC but was in Hawaii for his birthday.
Carson was with friends on a high rock pier, Carson then jumped into the ocean for fun, he experienced rough waters, and was swept out to sea. The incident happened around 11:20 a.m. in the South Point area of Ka’ū.
Carson was later recovered dead in the ocean by divers. It appears that Carson drowned, and he did not have a cardiac episode.
Carson was an extreme outdoor adventurous.
Carson was about 75 yards offshore before going under. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
