SUSPECT ARRESTED CHARGED WITH MURDERING VICTIM IN DOUBLE SHOOTING

David Simpson, 29, was arrested on July 30, 2026 accused of murdering a victim on Dunlavin Way Charlotte, NC during a double shooting.

The homicide was on July 29, 2026. At 2 a.m., two people were shot at a residence. One victim died on the scene. The other victim was taken to the hospital in the ICU.

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation and collect physical evidence. No arrests yet.

David was located and identified as a suspect. After a interrogation David was arrested charged with murder and attempted murder.
The victim in this case has not yet been identified and their next of kin has not been notified of this arrest.
