38-year-old Carlos Enrique Leon Aristoteles was found dead on June 3, 2026 on the Fred Stanback Ecological Preserve at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. Carlos was a father with 2 young kids. He had many tattoos and worked at a tattoo business. Carlos had PTSD and was missing for several days.

Carlos went missing on May 29, 2026. He was last seen on Farm Pond Lane in Charlotte. His family reported him missing. Around 2 p.m. on June 3rd a Catawba College employee found Carlos’s dead body in a remote area of the 189-acre ecological preserve.
Senior officials at Catawba College released a statement saying:
“Catawba College is aware that a deceased individual was found yesterday in the College’s Ecological Preserve. Law enforcement is investigating, and the College will not comment on an active investigation. We can confirm that the individual was not a Catawba College student or employee.”
Police were called along with paramedics. Carlos had mental health issues including PTSD. His death may of been suicide, but an official autopsy must be conducted first to determine the official cause of death.
