On Memorial Day weekend May 22, 2026 a murder took place in center city Charlotte, NC on North Poplar Street.
At 6:44 p.m., officers responded to a check for welfare call. Upon arrival, officers located a victim lying unresponsive. At the time, this incident was classified as a death investigation.
