The suspect was arrested with loads of bandages on his face, accused of hitting his girlfriend and strangling her
Edward Sloan, 52, was arrested on May 7, 2026 accused of brutally assaulting his latina girlfriend Georgia Rodriguez in Charlotte, NC.
Rodriguez was driving a vehicle when Edward is accused of hitting her in the face multiple times. The vehicle stopped and Edward allegedly got out of the vehicle, walked around the car and opened the driver’s side door, punching the woman in the face more leaving behind red bruises.
The suspect is then accused of strangling Rodriguez making her dizzy and unable to breathe. Her neck was let go, and Rodriguez ran to a gas station on Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd. and locked herself in the bathroom until police arrived.
Edward was eventually arrested charged with assault on female, common law robbery, and assault by strangulation. Edward sustained extensive scratches to his face, as evidenced by bandages.
