Daniel Moncion loved Air Jordan shoes, he died in Lake Wylie after drowning in 35 foot deep dark waters
Daniel Moncion, 25, is the latest fatal drowning victim in Lake Wylie. Daniel died in the lake during a day out with friends on May 19, 2026 in York County, SC.
Daniel was having a celebration in Lake Wylie on a boat. Daniel’s hat fell in the water. Daniel knew how to swim so he jumped right in the lake to get the hat.
But a powerful under current in Lake Wylie sucked Daniel underneath and killed him in a drowning. A water drone used by emergency officials was bought in to find Daniel’s dead body. The water was dark, deep, and murky. The victim’s body was found.
Daniel loved wearing Air Jordan shoes. Daniel lived in Charlotte and had family roots in the Dominican Republic.
