The SWAT team busted in on the 999 arcade this week, $38,000 cash was laying around

On May 12, 2026 the police SWAT team raided the 999 arcade on East Independence Blvd. Charlotte, NC.

The raid was the result of a months long investigation into illegal gambling equipment after a snitch told police that the 99 arcade had illegal gambling equipment and operations.

CMPD conducted multiple undercover operations inside 999 Arcade between November 2025 and May 2026.

The SWAT team moved in to raid the 999 arcade, officers seized $37,983 in cash, 62 “Fish” gaming electronic boards, 24 slot machine gaming electronic boards, 16 sweepstakes hard drives, four security camera DVRs, a Taurus 9 mm handgun, a 12-gauge shotgun, a gambling accounting system, a gambling receipt, and accounting record printers.
