A mixture of 15 women and men were arrested in a prostitution sting near Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. The men arrested were wearing weave, dressed like women. The prostitution sting was on 27th Avenue and has become an epicenter for prostitution in the city known as The Track or The Blade.

The prostitution sting was in November 2025 and was a joint effort between police at Grand Canyon University, Phoenix Police, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, and the County Attorney’s Office to crack down on prostitution in Phoenix. Undercover cops hit the streets in unmarked cars posing as sex customers near Grand Canyon University. The undercover officers would drive in the regular vehicles and stop on the street for the prostitutes, asking them to get in and how much for sexual services.
The prostitutes would get in the vehicle and make a deal. The undercover cop then drove to a nearby cop camp out location where the women would be arrested.
Undercover cops used sex websites to lure the women into a deal. The undercover officer would show up with cash, and once the woman agreed to a sex act in exchange for money in person, she was arrested.

A missing minor girl was walking the street as a prostitute also, she was arrested charged with prostitution too. Cops are looking at whether the girl was forced into prostitution by criminals or if she decided to be a prostitute on her own. The girl however did run away from home.

The entire sting lasted for months and 63 people have been arrested for prostitution in Phoenix. Even some Grand Canyon University students complained about the prostitution near campus.
Phase 1 of the operation occurred in August 2025 and resulted in 47 arrests for misdemeanor prostitution over a three day period. Two of the women arrested were repeat offenders within the three day period. Phase 2 of the operation was on Nov. 5, 2025 and resulted in 16 arrests for prostitution.
