Comfort Antwi died right before her birthday on the despicable West Sugar Creek
Comfort Antwi, 16, died in a head on collision car crash that was on January 3, 2026 on West Sugar Creek Road Charlotte, NC. She died just 2 days before her 17th birthday. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Comfort leaves behind a mother, father, and two brothers. At approximately 8:56 a.m., Comfort was driving a Toyota Yaris when she crossed the center line and crashed head on into a BMW vehicle on January 3rd.
Both vehicles sustained heavy front damage. Comfort had life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. West Sugar Creek is a terrible area, filled with violence, drugs, and prostitution.
The driver of the BMW was also hospitalized. On Jan. 5, 2026 Comfort succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Comfort attended Phillip O. Berry High School.
She also was in the gospel choir at All Nations United Methodist Church. Comfort had aspirations of attending The University of North Carolina Greensboro.
