Luis Javier Marrero, 48, was killed on November 18, 2025 after being hit by an Amtrak train in Landis, NC. Luis had a wife and kids, he also has a loving beautiful niece that lives in Charlotte that just gave birth to a baby, she works at Amazon. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
At 10 p.m. Luis got into a fight with his family, Luis stormed out of the house angry. A member of the household called 911 and said Luis was drunk.
Luis walked to the train tracks a few seconds away and jumped the guard rail as a loud Amtrak train was coming. Amtrak train strikes happen at a frequent rate.
Luis was hit, crushed by the train and killed on scene. Luis was born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico.
