DJ Ngenius allegedly had a few too many ‘turnt up’ Patron shots while blasting ‘gangsta’ rap tones for a crowd, he refused to blow in the tube at cop precinct. Lets see if an ‘ingenius’ way can get him out of jail
A Charlotte DJ known as DJ Ngenius was arrested on October 18, 2025 accused of DWI. The suspect’s real name is Joshua Fuller, 38, he was arrested in Charlotte, NC on Brookshire Freeway. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram. DJ Ngenius went to UNC Charlotte and labels himself as a girl dad, he has 2 daughters.
At 2:18 AM, officers were dispatched to Brookshire Fwy. in reference to a multiple car accident call for service. Upon officers arrival they were surveying the scene. Seconds later officers heard a collision and
observed a white in color 2019 Mercedes Benz had rear ended another vehicle that was involved in the original accident.
Mr. Fuller aka DJ Ngenius was driving the Mercedes. While speaking with the suspect, cops were able to observe signs of alleged impairment such as slurring of speech, glossy eyes, and strong odor of alcohol, officials say.
Officers then asked DJ Ngenius if he would consent to field sobriety tests in which he agreed. DJ Ngenius failed the alcohol testing.
DJ Ngenius was arrested charged with DWI. The suspect was transported to the jail precinct. While officers were trying to administer the drunk intox test, DJ Ngenius refused to blow into the tube.
Officers had to get a warrant to draw 2 vials of blood from the DJ Ngenius before transporting him
back to jail intake to be processed.
