AMBER ALERT, GIRL KIDNAPPED AT BUS STOP IN NORTH CAROLINA

Date:

A 13-year-old girl was kidnapped Monday morning at the bus stop while waiting for school in Lumberton, North Carolina.

A man abducted Hania Noelia Aquilar a little before 7 a.m. from the Rosewood mobile home park in Lumberton.

State officials issued an Amber Alert for the teen.

Hania is Hispanic, about 5 feet tall weighing 126 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a blue shirt with flowers and blue jeans, according to the alert.

Lumberton Police Chief Michael McNeill said in a press conference midday Monday that a man dressed in all black with a yellow bandana covering his face, forced the girl into a Ford Expedition and drove away.

He said the car was stolen from the scene and belonged to one of the girl’s relatives.

The vehicle is a Green 2002 Ford Expedition with South Carolina license tag number NWS-984.

The 13-year-old is in the 8th grade at the Lumberton Junior High School.

> “Our main concern right now is to get this young lady back to her family,” the police chief said.

The FBI is helping in the investigation.
