ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CAUGHT WITH 11 POUNDS OF HIGH GRADE MARIJUANA

Authorities have charged Mario Solis-Delgado, 33, who they say is in the country illegally, with trafficking marijuana.

An investigation determined suspicious packages were delivered to 182 Cypress Lane in Salisbury, NC from California, on eight occasions over the past year.

California is a known source for drug dealers to get high-grade drugs. Charlotte Alerts told you about a California drug connect here.

According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office on January 18th, 2019, investigators executed a search warrant at 182 Cypress Lane, with assistance from the United States Postal Service, after the delivery of a suspicious package.

Investigators located approximately 11 pounds of high-grade marijuana valued at $30,000, along with a .22 caliber handgun and additional drug paraphernalia inside the residence.

As a result of the investigation, Mario was arrested and charged with Trafficking Marijuana by Possession. Mario told authorities he was a Mexican citizen and in the United States illegally.

Mario was released on a $50,000 secured bond.
