18-year-old Canae Monteiro was arrested for having a gun at Central Piedmont Community College, Cato Campus. Due to the incident the school went on a brief emergency protocol.
On January 18, 2019 authorities responded to an armed person 911 call at the community college located at 8120 Grier Rd. Charlotte, NC.
Canae was located and was in possession of a firearm on the school campus. Canae was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm on education property, carrying a concealed gun, and possession of a firearm by minor.
Canae’s weapon of choice was a black handgun.
