Dimingo Coleman, 41, was arrested for the alleged attempted murder of a 51-year-old man.
On October 21, 2019 the victim was shot on West Woodlawn Road Charlotte, NC. The victim was found in the rear of a building with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The suspect was not located by officers.
Detectives continued to investigate this incident and identified Dimingo as the suspect. Warrants were obtained for his arrest.
On Thursday, October 31, 2019 around 9:30 p.m., officers observed Dimingo driving on East Woodlawn Road. Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle Dimingo was driving. He failed to stop for officers. A vehicle pursuit ensued and a short time later, Dimingo collided with another vehicle and he jumped from the vehicle he was occupying and ran.
Officers pursued Dimingo on foot and he was apprehended without incident on Old Pineville Road.
Dimingo was charged with attempted first degree murder, felony conspiracy, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, larceny of auto, possession of a stolen vehicle, driving while license revoked, reckless driving, hit-and-run, fleeing or attempt to elude law enforcement and resist/delay/obstruct arrest.
