David Guillod, 53, is a famed Hollywood producer, responsible for executive producing several movies and Netflix series. On June 23, 2020 David was arrested on 11 felony sex allegations stemming from four alleged sexual assault attacks.
California prosecutors say the sex crimes took place in January 2015, December 2014, and May 2012.
Per the December 14, 2014 rape charges, the crimes allegedly occurred in the County of Santa Barbara, California. David is charged with kidnap for rape, rape of a person prevented from resisting due to an intoxicating, anesthetic or controlled substance, and rape of unconscious person.
As to the alleged sexual assault from May 21, 2012, in the County of Los Angeles, the defendant is charged with sexual penetration of an intoxicated person by a foreign object, sexual penetration of an unconscious person by a foreign object, oral copulation with a person prevented from resisting due to an intoxicating, anesthetic or controlled substance.
David also faces rape and sex assault allegations from January 30, 2015 and January 31, 2015, in the county of Los Angeles.
Charges were filed after extensive investigations were conducted by the Santa Barbra County Sheriff’s Department and the Los Angeles Police Department, while working in conjunction with the District Attorneys of Santa Barbara County and Los Angeles County.
After reviewing all the evidence, the Santa Barbara County District Attorney requested jurisdiction from the District Attorney of Los Angeles to prosecute David in Santa Barbara, CA.
David was arrested and sent to custody at the Santa Barbara County Jail, with bail set at $3 million dollars. The court has ordered that GPS be a term and condition of his bail, and has ordered that the defendant have no contact with the victims.
His arraignment date is yet to be determined. If convicted as charged, David faces a potential sentence of 21 years to life in prison.
