On October 28, 2020 William Fields, 37, was sentenced to serve 420 months in prison for producing child pornography with a minor girl in Cynthiana, Kentucky. William met the girl via the Police Explorers program.
William had sex with the girl in the back of a medic ambulance and video recorded it. In fact William produced five explicit videos and two images at the Emergency Medical Training Facility in March of 2019.
William was a Harrison County Constable and a Paris Fire Department firefighter. Through the Police Explorers program William formed a relationship with a 17-year-old female victim. The girl was interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement or emergency medicine.
The victim became acquainted with William in early 2019 while visiting a fire station in Harrison County, Kentucky. William began communicating with the victim through the social media platform Snapchat.
In March 2019, William sent the victim a text message asking her to meet him. He met with the victim that night, provided her with alcohol, and had sexual intercourse with the victim in the back of an ambulance.
William used the victim’s cellphone to video record the encounter, and then sent the video to himself. A thumbnail image from the video was later found on William’s cellphone.
William was arrested in October 2019. It is not known how law enforcement found out about William having sex with the girl.
Evidence at trial also revealed that William had sexual intercourse with the underage victim again at the Emergency Medical Training Facility in Bourbon County, Kentucky in March 2019 and used the victim’s cellphone to record that encounter too.
Law enforcement performed a forensic examination of William’s cellphone and discovered screen shots from the videos of William’s sexual encounters with the victim. Under federal law William must serve 85 percent of his prison sentence and will be under the supervision of the U.S. Probation Office for 20 years.
