ARREST MADE AFTER VICTIM VIOLENTLY KILLED IN HOME

42-year-old Dedrick Gamble was arrested on December 17, 2020 charged with the homicide of Abel Harris, 41.

The victim was shot and killed on October 28, 2020 on Princess Street Charlotte, NC. Abel was shot several times in a house. Abel died on the scene, although paramedics did try to revive him.

Nearly 2 months after the homicide, Dedrick was identified as a suspect and a warrant for murder was issued for his arrest. On December 11, 2020, Dedrick turned himself in to law enforcement in Sumpter, South Carolina.

On December 17, 2020 Dedrick was extradited back to North Carolina. He is charged with murder and robbery.
