On December 18, 2020 Deontae Eddings, 18, was arrested and charged with the murder of 17-year-old Sharrieff Jones in Charlotte, NC.
Sharrieff was shot and killed on December 13, 2020 on Red Bud Circle.
As a result of the continued investigation, homicide unit detectives identified Deontae as a suspect in this case and warrants were issued for his arrest. On December 18, 2020, the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested Deontae.
Deontae is charged with 2nd degree murder.
