68-year-old Rosalyn Howard was stabbed to death on March 6, 2021 in Winston Salem, NC. 33-year-old Jacob Jones was arrested and charged with the murder in Charlotte, NC on March 7, 2021. Jacob is the son of the now dead Rosalyn. Jacob is charged with taking his children also.
Winston-Salem authorities issued an Amber Alert for one of Jacob’s children, 10-year-old Azaria Walters, late Saturday night.
Rosalyn was found dead from a stabbing outside her home. Jacob is accused of Rosalyn’s murder. Jacob then left with his children in a black Cadillac Escalade. Officials say Jacob does not have custody of the children.
Highway Patrol troopers found Jacob in Pineville, NC at a gas station. The kids were found with him. Jacob was arrested on an outstanding robbery warrant allegedly connected to the incident. Jacob was booked in a jail in Charlotte.
Jacob is charged with murder in the death of his mother. He will be taken to Forsyth County later. The children were released to a guardian.
Rosalyn attended church in Winston Salem.
