Javontate Richardson, 30, was arrested on April 8, 2021 in Miami, FL after a teen inmate at a detention center for girls said he had sex with her.
The alleged sex is said to of occurred on April 5, 2021. A 15-year-old female inmate at the Miami Girl’s Academy told a youth care specialist she had engaged in sexual activity with Javontate. Authorities were called in and reviewed video footage.
Authorities say surveillance video at the Miami Girl’s Academy corroborates the teen girl’s allegations. Javontate was confronted at his job by law enforcement and was arrested.
Javontate is charged with sexual battery on a minor by an adult and sexual misconduct with an inmate. He was employed by True Behavioral Solutions, which is a government contractor that places guards at the girl’s detention center.
The Miami Girl’s Academy is a 30-bed detention center.
