TON OF MARIJUANA FOUND IN COMMERCIAL TRUCK, DRUGS HID IN FLOOR

On May 11, 2021 officers with U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility discovered a ton of marijuana valued at $250,000 concealed within a commercial truck trailer in Pharr, Texas.

The commercial truck was arriving from Mexico. Customs and Border Patrol officers working at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge encountered an empty tractor/trailer. 

The officers discovered that the trailer’s floor was loaded with marijuana. Officers removed 300 packages weighing 1,241 pounds from the conveyance.

Officers seized the narcotics and the tractor/trailer. The case remains under investigation by Homeland Security Investigations.
