Major crash investigation unit detectives are conducting an investigation into a fatal, hit and run motor vehicle collision that killed 14-year-old Kevin Osorto on East W T Harris Boulevard Charlotte, NC.
The deadly crash was on June 27, 2021 at 2:10 a.m. Kevin was walking along the right shoulder of the southbound side of East W T Harris Boulevard when he was struck by a Chevrolet Equinox vehicle.
The driver did not stop, and left the scene.
Debris from the collision aided detectives in identifying the suspect vehicle as a 2016 or 2017 Chevrolet Equinox.
Kevin was pronounced deceased on scene.
