On May 2, 2023 a male suspect broke into the NAPA automotive store in Willimantic, CT and nearly ran over a cop.
The suspect arrived to the business in a box truck. Once the suspect picked the locks to break in NAPA, he began to take generators and other products, loading them into the back of the box truck.
A silent alarm began to notify police of the break-in. A female cop arrived on scene while the suspect was in theft mode.
The suspect then ran to the box truck and drove away as the officer grabbed on the door handle. The officer is almost dragged and ran over by the force of the truck, but she eventually let go.
The box truck driver sped away into the night with the back of the truck still open and cargo falling out onto the street.
