TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED UPON AN ARMED ROBBERY

Two men are in jail after being charged with an armed robbery near West Sugar Creek

Brenton Samuels, 26, and Anthony Martin, 30, were arrested on an armed robbery from person charge in Charlotte, NC.

On January 19, 2020, at 1:14 a.m. a robbery occurred on Thera Drive. The victims advised that a male suspect brandished a firearm and took property from their immediate possession. The victims advised that the suspect then got into a vehicle and left the scene. 

Information and evidence gathered during the course of the investigation led detectives to identify Brenton and Anthony as suspects in this case. Detectives from the Real-Time Crime Center also identified Anthony, who was on electronic monitoring, and placed him at the incident location during the time of the robbery. 

As a result, warrants were obtained for their arrest. On January 20, 2020, Anthony was arrested by officers with the North Tryon Crime Reduction Unit. Brenton was subsequently arrested on January 21, 2020, by officers. They are both charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
