MAN ROBBED DURING FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE TRANSACTION AT APARTMENT COMPLEX

19-year-old Destinee Little and three juvenile males were arrested on December 28, 2020 for an alleged armed robbery committed during a Facebook Marketplace exchange in Charlotte, NC.

On December 27, 2020, around 10:45 p.m., a man was robbed at gunpoint by four suspects. The victim was attempting to purchase an item from Facebook Marketplace. When the victim met with the suspects at an apartment complex on Parkland Circle, one of the suspects pulled out a firearm, pointed it at the victim, and took the victim’s belongings.

The suspects then fled on foot.

On the very next day officers saw the same suspects at the complex attempting to complete another transaction.

When officers attempted to make an arrest, the suspects fled on foot. Officers pursued the suspects where they entered a 4-door Toyota and were apprehended shortly following a traffic stop. A resident of the apartment complex alerted officers to the gun that they saw one of the suspects drop as he was running.

Destinee was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery.

All three juvenile suspects were also charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. One juvenile was additionally charged with possession of stolen firearm.
