Chakita Jones, 25, was shot and killed in her Fayetteville, NC home. On August 23 Chakita was shot inside a residence, she was found unresponsive when paramedics arrived at the scene.
Chakita was transported to UNC Medical Center and died on August 24.
Chakita was at home with her children when shots rang out inside the home. Chakita was hit while trying to shield her kids from bullets. Chakita had seven children.
A pregnant mother in Atlanta was killed during a shootout while protecting her child.
