Aliyah Morris was killed on February 20, 2021 after a massive collision with a Charlotte Area Transportation System bus on the I-77 highway.
Aliyah was driving a vehicle in the wrong direction on the I-77 express toll lanes near Sunset Road in Charlotte NC; Aliyah and the bus then collided head on. The wreck was in the early a.m. hours.
There was a lot of front end damage to the bus and the vehicle Aliyah was driving. Vehicle debris and parts were scattered all across the immediate lanes.
Officials say there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash. Aliyah died on the scene. Toxicology results have not been analyzed. The bus driver was transported to the hospital with injuries.
Aliyah was the mother of young children.
