She sped away from cops and then crashed out, all while wearing a religious hair covering
On March 1, 2026 Rahma Elabed, 22, was arrested in Charlotte, NC with her head hijab on.
A large group of vehicles were on Smith Farm Road doing burnouts and car stunts. Cops were called to the scene. The vehicles started to scatter when cops arrived.
Rahma was seen running to a vehicle. Cops told her to stop. Rahma kept running and got in a vehicle and sped off at a high rate of speed.
Rahma lost control and drove the vehicle up a curb and crashed out. The car become disabled.
Rahma is accused of holding the door closed from officers opening it. Officers then had to use a baton to break the driver’s side window and take Rahma out of the vehicle.
Rahma was arrested charged with resisting cop and reckless driving.
